Common questions
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password and enter your email address. The app asks our server to email you a link to set a new password. Open the link on the same iPhone: it opens DYALD, where you choose the new password. The link works once, so if you asked more than once, use the newest email. Sign in with Apple and Continue with Google do not depend on a password you have to remember.
My history is gone, or I have a new iPhone
Your profile, meals, weigh-ins and daily check-ins sync to your DYALD account, so sign in with the same account and they stay in your account. Your workouts sync to your account too, so they come back when you sign in on a new iPhone. The app's files on your iPhone are not included in iCloud or computer backups, so anything that never synced, such as a workout you logged offline and never reconnected, does not come back after you delete the app or change iPhone. Your progress photos are backed up to your account too and come back on a new iPhone. Body scans and the food photos you scan are never synced.
A plate scan shows a demo result
Until you download the on-device AI model, a plate scan shows a labelled demo result. Go to Settings, then AI Model, and tap Download. The file is about 2.6 GB, so use Wi-Fi and make sure you have free space. After it finishes, scans and the AI chat run on your iPhone.
A barcode was not found
Barcode results and the packaged foods in search come from Open Food Facts, whose coverage varies by product and country. Dishes and restaurant items in search come from USDA FoodData Central, which is built into the app and works without a signal. You can search for the food by name, or enter the calories and macros yourself from the Nutrition tab.
Voice logging does not work
Voice logging understands English. Check that DYALD is allowed to use the Microphone and Speech Recognition in the iOS Settings app, under DYALD.
The camera does not open
Check that DYALD is allowed to use the Camera in the iOS Settings app, under DYALD.
How do I cancel or manage DYALD Pro?
Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. If you are subscribed, Settings also has a Manage Subscription row under DYALD Pro. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. Go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com and choose the purchase.
My purchase is not showing
In Settings, tap Restore Purchases. It reapplies a subscription bought with the same Apple ID.
How do I delete my account and data?
Go to Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. The app asks our server to delete your account and every row that belongs to you there, then erases your data on this iPhone: your profile, meals, workouts, weigh-ins, goals, saved foods and exercises, reminders, settings and sign-in details. If the server cannot be reached, the app tells you what did not finish, and you can sign in and try again. Delete Account also erases your progress photos and, if you are a coach, the audio files of your voice broadcasts and the exercise videos and voice notes you uploaded. Deleting the app on its own does not delete your account. You can remove the downloaded AI model in Settings, AI Model.
An estimate looks wrong
AI food estimates are approximate. You can edit or delete any logged meal. DYALD gives general wellness information, not medical advice, so check anything that matters to your health with a qualified professional.
